Seirbhísí agus Imeachtaí ag Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise

28 Meán Fómhair: Gaillimh, Cór Chúil Aodha ag canadh i dTeampall san Nicholas, ag ceiliúradh an Eocairist ag 11.00am.  

1 Samhain: Cill Airne, Seirbhís Machnaimh ag an Oireachtas. 

Taispeántas Chumann Gaeilge na hEaglaise, An Ghaeilge in Eaglais na hEaglaise,  ar camchuairt.

 28 Meán Fómhair 2014:  Beidh An Chomaoineach Naofa, (dátheangach) i dTeampall san Nicholas, Gaillimh ag 11.00am. Beidh an Casach Gary Hastings i mbun seirbhíse agus beidh an tUrr John Godfrey ag seanmóireacht. 

Dúirt an Casach Gary Hastings, 

“Is mór an onóir dúinn anseo Cór Chúil Aodha bheith ag ceol ag an tseirbhís Dé Domhnaigh. Tá clú agus cáil ar leith orthu, agus ócáid speisialta a bheas ann. Tá fáilte roimh cách.”

Beidh taispeántas ag Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise, An Ghaeilge in Eaglais na hÉireann, ann freisin.  Dúirt, Dáithí Ó Maolchoille, Cathaoirleach Chumann Gaelach na hEaglaise,

“Is cúis bhródúil dúinn an chéad a chomóradh agus aitheantas a gabháil leis na daoine cróga agus spreagtha a mhol an Ghaeilge i saol na hEaglaise thar na blianta.   Tá blaiseadh beag ann don obair a rinneadh – idir chléir agus tuath".    

Beidh sólaistí ann ina dhiaidh agus tá fáilte roimh chách.     

 1 Samhain 2014.  Beidh Seirbhís Machnaimh ag Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise arís i mbliana ag an Oireachtas i gCill Áirne.  Beidh sé ar siúl in Óstán Gleneagle agus beidh an Taispeántas, An Ghaeilge in Eaglaise na hÉireann, ann freisin.    

Bíonn seirbhísí rialta in Ardteampall Chríost agus Béal Feirste, agus, idir Mheán Fómhair agus Nollaig, beidh na seirbhísí thíos ann: 

Ardteampall Chríost, Baile Átha Cliath:  Urnaí na Nóna, dátheangach, ag 3.30pm  ar an nDomhnach deireanach do gach mí.

Naomh Seoirse, Béal Feirste. Beidh Urnaí na Nóna, as Gaeilge ag 3.00pm ar 5 Deireadh Fómhair agus ar 2 Samhain agus bíonn ranganna Gaeilge ar súil gach Domhnach,  6-7.00pm.

 

 

Upcoming Events and Services with the Irish Guild of the Church

28 October:  Galway,  Choral Eurcharist with Cúil Aodha Choir in St. Nicholas Collegiate Church at 11.00am.

1 November:   Killarney:  Reflective Service at An tOireachtas. 

Exhibition:    "Irish in the Church of Ireland" exhibition is now on tour.

28 October 2014. Archdeacon Gary Hastings will celebrate a bilingual Eucharist in St. Nicholas’s Church, Galway at 11.00am.  The Rev John Godfrey will preach at the service.

Archdeacon Gary Hastings speaking of the service said,

“We are especially privileged to have the Cúil Aodha choir perform at our service on this Sunday.  Their music is known the world over and it will be a very special event.  Everyone is welcome”. 

 An exhibition prepared by Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise will also be on view.   Dáithí Ó Maolchoille, Chairperson of the Cumann said,

“ One hundred years is a wonderful achievement for any organisation but it should be noted that throughout the history of the Church of Ireland there have been extraordinary men and women who have been advocates for the place and role of the Irish language in the life of the church. This small exhibition does little more than offer insights into their achievements”. 

1 November 2014. Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise will have a Reflective Service during the Oireachtas in Killarney this year.  The service will be in the Gleneagle Hotel and there will also be a chance to view the exhibition, Irish in the Church of Ireland.

 Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin: Bilingual Evensong is at 3.30pm on the last Sunday of each month. 

St. George’s, Belfast:  Evening Prayer is in Irish on the first Sunday of each month and there are Irish classes each Sunday  6-7.00pm  .
